You Can Always Count on Your Family

The week after school got out, Sage and Sarah went to EFY where they met lots of fun and cool people. They were so fun and so cool that Sarah wanted to hang out with them some more. Plans were made to go downtown to Temple Square and go to the Church History Museum (who knew 15 year-olds would want to do such a thing!)

When the great and glorious day arrived, one by one all of Sarah's EFY buddies canceled on her and left Sarah without anyone to go with, enter her awesome family!!

We decided that we wanted to go with Sarah downtown so she could still have a good day just a little different than advertised. I'd like to think she had more fun with us than she would have with her friends, but I'm her mom and get to think things like that. :)

The great adventure started on the Trax (just the way any good adventure should start) and we went to Temple Square. We went to the top of the JSM building and got some great pictures of the SL Temple. We found the little cabin that's smack in the middle of the Church History Museum and the Family History Library (learn something new everyday!) We ate lunch at Carriage Cafe to include Stephen in the days festivities and eat good food. Then we ended up at the Gateway and the Olympic Legacy Plaza and played in the water (OK, Lukas and Isaac played in the water, Sarah and I watched) while we listened to Nana sing the 2002 Olympic Theme song (with a little help from the Tab Choir of course). After all that, we were so tired from all the fun in the sun we went across the street and drove home with Stephen in a lovely air-conditioned car (sweet bliss)!
